The Government (Officially His Majesty's Government) has existed in some way for as long as United Kingdom has been around (over 15 years). Over the history of our region, the Government has taken several forms. However, right now this is the current set-up. The Prime Minister is directly elected by the citizenry in a First Past the Post system. Then, the Prime Minister is invited to form the Government in the Sovereign's name. The Prime Minister has many varied powers including not limited to determining the structure of the Cabinet and issuing Executive Orders relating to their duties. The Prime Minister's term lasts for up to seventy (70) days but can serve as many terms as they are elected by the citizenry.
Deputy Prime Minister: The Deputy Prime Minister deputises the Prime Minister, assists other cabinet members, and is ready to cover the duties of the Prime Minister whenever the PM is unavailable. The DPM will also be expected to take the lead on individual projects that arise, such as administering the Junior Ministerial Programme.
Secretary of State for Home Affairs (Home Secretary): The Home Secretary takes responsibility for the management of onsite NSUK and the integration of new citizens to the forum. Within onsite NSUK, the Secretary is responsible for promoting activity such as on the RMB, welcoming new nations, and recruitment to the forum. On the forum, the Secretary is responsible for welcoming new applicants, leading on integration initiatives (e.g. guides, mentoring) overseeing the Master Citizenship List, maintaining our forum & discord citizen roles, and holding award schemes for citizens.
Secretary of State for Culture (Culture Secretary): The Culture Secretary is responsible for promoting cultural activity across the region on the forum. This involves the organisation of daily activities, festivals, cross-national activities. They work alongside the Community Engagement Secretary.
Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (Foreign Secretary): The Foreign Secretary is responsible for the management of foreign relations, foreign update writing and promoting NSUK abroad. The Foreign Secretary is expected to personally take responsibility for producing high-quality foreign updates in a term and their delivery abroad.
Secretary of State for Community Engagement Secretary (Community Engagement Secretary): The Community Engagement Secretary is responsible for promoting community engagement activity on the discord, including weekly games, discord discussions, and discord events such as avatar contests. The CES plays a role in reaching out to newcomers; leading the Welcome Wagon. They work alongside the Culture Secretary
Chancellor of the Exchequer (the Chancellor): The Chancellor of the Exchequer will be responsible for the implementation of the regional economy, including facilitating the understanding of citizens and effective management of the economy. The Chancellor will work with the administration team on the technical aspects relating to the economy and spearhead efforts to establish regional law relating to the economy.
