Hi, As you might have imagined, I have decided to retire from the House, at least for a while. I have meditated this decision a while, and I think that, after almost two years and lots of proposals and debates, it is my turn to step down. I simply don't want to become that folk who is in Parliament for the sake of being in Parliament. I'd like to thank all the members who have served with me, especially Akillian Talleyrand, my mentor, as well as Jan van Dijk, who gave me the oportunity to serve as DPM as well as to run for the Premiership. I'd like to inform that I will take a less present approach (alright, that ain't much of breaking news seeing my current stats), but I'll be here. As always, I will serve the region in any position I'm wanted to, and I'd like to announce my intentions to revitalize the BBC. Merci beaucoup!

You dedicated a lot of time to Parliament and for that I thank you. I'm pleased to hear that you're not leaving us and I look forward to seeing on how you revitalise the BBC!

Thank you for your service Mike! It’s been a pleasure to serve with you, both in Parliament and, as you mentioned, in government.
I’m really glad that you’re sticking around on the forum, even if you are taking a step back!

It was a pleasure to serve with your in Parliament. From your first by-election to being elected for 11 terms is a great achievement and a testament to your work and popularity.
I remember appointing you when you were a reasonably new citizen as my Personal Adviser on Newcomer Issues and I don't believe you had even settled on your name/persona then. How you have progressed from then to being known as one of our finest parliamentarians and statesmen is a tribute to you, of which I have been proud to watch!
