It is with a profound sense of sorrow and a heavy heart that I compose these words. After much soul-searching and deep reflection, I have reached the agonizing decision to tender my resignation as the Member of Parliament for South Norfolk and as the Secretary of Cultural Affairs.

This decision weighs heavily upon me, for it marks the end of a chapter in my life that has been defined by service, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the betterment of our society. Yet, amidst the shadows of regret, there shines a glimmer of hope—a hope born of the belief that by relinquishing my political duties, I can devote more of myself to those who matter most in my life.

Foremost among them is my beloved wife, Gloriana Windsor-Cavellaria, whose unwavering love and support have sustained me through the darkest of times. It pains me to admit that, in my relentless pursuit of political ambition, I have neglected the most precious gift life has bestowed upon me—the opportunity to cherish and nurture the bond we share.

Likewise, I cannot ignore the call of duty that beckons me to our family business, Cavellaria-Alvarado Unlimited. It is a beacon of hope in a world fraught with uncertainty—a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the power of collective endeavor. In stepping away from the political arena, I hope to honor the legacy of generations past and pave the way for a brighter future for all who follow in our footsteps.

My heart aches as I contemplate the magnitude of this decision and the impact it will have on those I leave behind. To my esteemed colleagues in Parliament, I extend my deepest apologies for any disappointment or inconvenience my resignation may cause. To the constituents of South Norfolk, I offer my sincerest regrets for falling short of the expectations you placed upon me.

As I bid farewell to the corridors of power and the trappings of political office, I do so with a heavy heart and a profound sense of loss. Apologies Max, that letter was originally issued on 10 March - I can't see how it relates to this post, apart from the fact that you edited it to say this letter is an April Fool's joke?  I'll be honest, I certainly wouldn't go looking for a letter issued over 2 weeks ago to find out this was an April Fools joke..  Unfortunately, as far as I am concerned, you have resigned from your role within Government.
